Unmasking Maya - The Blurb

Hiya folks!

I thought it was high time that I unveiled the blurb for my December release, Unmasking Maya. So excited about this one. Only 40 days to go! And now for the blurb:

Defamed, Disgraced and Displaced...

Fresh from a career-killing scandal, New York fashion girl, Maya Kirkwood, arrives in San Francisco to reinvent herself as a fine artist. She's offered the opportunity to create an installation at the Silicon Valley headquarters of a hot new tech company. Fabulous, right?

Not so much.

She can't stand Derek Whitley - wunderkind software genius and CEO of the company. Hot as he may be on the outside, inside the man is a cold, unemotional, robotic type. Way too left-brained for her right-brained self.

As Maya and Derek get to know each other, however, their facades begin to crack. She catches her first glimpse of the man behind the superhuman tech prodigy, and he starts to see her as the woman she used to be. But is this a good thing? Once that last secret is revealed, will it bring them closer together or will it tear them apart?

  2. I really like the tagline "Defamed, Disgraced, and Displaced . . .," but then I've always been a sucker for alliteration. :)

Only 40 days to go until the release . . . I'm sure you've got a winner on your hands!

    1. I had to edit this comment, there was a huge mistake which would have made a writer like me look completely foolish!

  8. Looks wonderful. Can't wait to read it. LIbby, I just love your photo. You look Irish! Do you know that?

  9. Hehe, I hear ya, Maria. I hate it when I accidentally post something before checking to make sure everything's as it is. And thanks about my photo! Lots of people say I look Irish. Actually my ancestors were mostly English, Scottish and some Welsh. Everything but Irish - at least as far back as we've traced it (about 200 years). :-) Hope you enjoy Unmasking Maya!

  10. Libby, I love the alliteration, too! Unmasking Maya sounds very intriguing! And I love that hint you dropped at the end. One last secret? Way to keep a reader guessing!

  12. Aw, thanks so much, ladies! I'm so excited about the launch. In a way, Dec. 15 can't come soon enough. But in truth, I'm glad for the time - there's still a lot left to do. I'm so glad I intrigued you, Kathleen! That was my intention. And Meredith, I hope you enjoy fashioning! :-)
